❄️ The Morning Bloom: A Softer December

❄️A Softer December❄️

Hi Reader,

Happy December! I hope you’re easing into this new month with a little softness in your body, mind and energy. December has a way of asking us to speed up… even when everything inside us is craving the exact opposite.

I noticed after Thanksgiving I was feeling a little more anxious and overwhelmed than normal. I was waking up in the morning with my mind already running a million miles an hour. I was having difficulty stilling my mind and body for my Yoga Nidra practices. I repeatedly caught myself hunching my shoulders and holding my breath. I was even scrolling my phone at night in an attempt to daze/numb myself out, even if just for a few minutes.

That's when I realized I needed a soft reset. I could not enter into December feeling so overwhelmed. I needed to soften so I could be present and enjoy the holiday season. So this year, I’m choosing something different. I am practicing a soft morning every day this December.

What is a soft morning? It's really quite simple. Every morning I spend my first 30 minutes screen free. No phone, TV or computer. I sip my coffee. I read my morning meditation. I journal. I stay quiet long enough to hear what my body and mind need from me. That's it.

As I write this, I am six days into this soft morning practice and I am already seeing a huge difference. My mind is quieter in the mornings and as I move throughout the day. My energy feels a little softer. My thoughts a little clearer. My ability to be fully present as I spend time with my loved ones is increasing, day by day.

I know I am not the only one who feels a bit overwhelmed this holiday season, so I would love to have you join me in practicing soft mornings. Before you dive into the week, here’s a simple, soft reset you can practice every day. I highly recommend 30 minutes of no screens every morning but if that's not possible, give this 3 minute practice a try!

3-Minute Soft Start Ritual
• Sit comfortably and place one hand on heart, one hand on belly
• Take a slow inhale in through the nose
• Exhale with a gentle sigh through the mouth
• Repeat for three minutes
• As you breathe repeat to yourself - I am allowed to live softly.

Make sure you stay tuned and follow me on Instagram. All month long, I’ll also be sharing little pieces from my upcoming Soft Reset experience. This is a 7 day journey to help stressed, overwhelmed women move from burnout to balance.

New Year Energy & Brahmacharya Hello Dear Reader, Happy 2026!🎆 As we begin a new year, I want to offer a different perspective, a yogic perspective that completely changed how I relate to New Year's resolutions. For a long time, I treated this month as a time to overhaul my life. New habits, big goals, fresh starts. Yet year after year, that approach left me feeling exhausted, stressed and like I had somehow failed before the year really began. What I understand now is this: the issue was...

Hi Reader, Happy New Year to you! 🩶 If you’re feeling a little off today, you’re not alone. The holidays tend to leave us with too much sugar, maybe more alcohol than usual, lots of socializing, late nights and sleep schedules that are all over the place. By the time January rolls around, it can feel tempting to overhaul everything. New habits, new routines, new rules. But here’s the truth:We’re still in the thick of winter. Nature isn’t rushing. It’s resting, conserving energy and slowly...

❄️Winter Energy❄️ Hello Dear Reader, We are officially in winter (as of December 21st), the one season where nature visibly slows everything down. Trees stop producing. Plants direct their energy back into their roots. Animals rest more. Nothing is trying to create, grow, or expand right now. And yet, we live in a world that tells us the new year is the time to reinvent ourselves. We’re actively encouraged to take on new habits and fill our calendars with self improvement activities. Our...
